Esther’s Story
“Before I met Primax, I struggled to pursue my dream of becoming an educator due to a disadvantaged background. I worked three jobs, seven days a week, just to make ends meet.”
For Esther Kim, that pace was unsustainable. “These working hours eventually affected my health,” she explains, leaving her exhausted and stretched thin. Balancing multiple jobs while trying to study meant constant pressure, little rest, and growing uncertainty about whether continuing her education was even possible. What began as determination slowly turned into survival mode, and her dream of becoming an educator felt increasingly out of reach.
Everything shifted when she connected with Primax Foundation. For the first time, Esther felt genuinely heard. Her story was met with care and understanding, and together they discussed what it would take to make her dream realistic - not just hopeful, but attainable.
Primax stepped in with both educational and living support, creating the stability Esther had been missing. With her basic needs covered, she could finally focus on her studies without sacrificing her health. Even during the most challenging parts of her program, the belief placed in her remained steady, providing encouragement when she needed it most.
With sustained support behind her, Esther completed her studies and graduated with a credential in music education - a milestone that once felt impossible.
Today, Esther is working as a public school music teacher, teaching students of all ages. In her classroom, she offers students the opportunities, experiences, and quality instruction she did not have growing up. Her journey reflects what becomes possible when support meets real need—transforming not only one life, but the many lives that person goes on to shape.
